DARS Community Practitioner
1 x full-time 37 hours per week. Permanent post (subject to funding). Salary £27,406-£28,228.

Domestic abuse is always unacceptable. For over 25 years, Behind Closed Doors has been supporting survivors in Leeds and acting to prevent it.
We have recently launched DARS (our Domestic Abuse Recovery Service) in partnership with Shantona and Getaway Girls, and are now seeking to appoint a new Practitioner into our experienced and friendly Prevention and Recovery Team.
The role of the DARS Community Practitioner is to provide support to people in Leeds. This is delivered through 1:1 sessions, group work and activities with people who are recovering from their experiences of domestic abuse, and where the risk has reduced. We will support people to rebuild their lives and grow in independence, confidence and self-esteem.
To apply for this role, you will be committed to reducing risk with vulnerable people and their children, able to work in a supportive yet demanding environment and able to manage a large diverse caseload.
